The True Bible Code Guys Good Math, Bad Math

Good Math, Bad Math

More Old Friends: The Bible Code Guys
by Mark C. Chu-Carroll on October 21, 2007

Time for our second visit with old friends. This time, we’re going to check up on “The Lords Witnesses”, the bible code geniuses who made somewhere around a dozen attempts at using their code to nail down a date at which the UN building in NYC would be blown up.
These nutters are a spinoff of the Jehovah’s witnesses. They believe that there is a secret code
embedded in the bible. They agree that all of the other people who claim to have found secret codes in
the bible are all just a bunch of crackpots – but they have the truth.

Their code is a classic example of a human-created pattern. It’s fascinating in its way – it’s a great example of a very human thing. We’re natural pattern-seekers. We’re good at recognizing patterns – it’s one of the innate skills of our brains. But like so many other things, it can go a bit overboard. Our natural ability to recognize faces causes us to see faces in the shape of a burnt tortilla, or a rust stain on a highway overpass, or a mountain on Mars, even though there are no faces there. The same thing happens with patterns: if we look hard enough, we can find pattern even where patterns don’t really exist.
One of the hallmarks of a false pattern is complexity. Real patterns tend to have a basic
simplicity about them – that simplicity and repetition is really what makes them a pattern.
Imposed patterns – where we “find” a pattern that isn’t really there tend to be insanely complicated, with
exceptions, variations, and numerous rules. A great example of this is language: when people try to define formal grammars for human languages, they tend to be utter monstrosities: human language doesn’t follow
strict grammatical rules. So formal natural language grammars tend to have lots of rules. For example, one of my college textbooks develops an approximation of an English grammar – which is nowhere near complete – has 400 rules.
So, now look at the Witnesses rules for their code. It’s incredibly elaborate, with every rule
having numerous exceptions. It’s a perfect example for when you get if your sure that there’s some basic pattern, and you create a rule to describe it. Then you find the exceptions to it, and form a generalization of them, which becomes your next rule. Then you find the exceptions to your two-rule
system, and generalize that and so on, until you have an elaborate system of rules that seems to cover all of the cases.
To give you an idea of what I mean, here’s one of their rules. According to them, it’s the fifth rule, which they call “The Symbolic Structure Principle”. In fact, it’s arguably really the first of their rules, because the ones before it are just things like “The Bible is always right”. So this is, according to them, one of the general rules of the true bible code which can be used to predict events on specific dates, taken from here.
Every literal account in the bible has the normal literal meaning.
Every non literal account, such as a dream, a parable or a vision, has a straightforward symbolic meaning, which is the symbolic meaning of the events described in the account. We call this the Event Symbolic meaning, or the Event Symbolism.
Every interpretational sub account in the bible has its normal literal meaning which describes the event symbolic meaning of one or more symbolic sub accounts. If the interpretation has symbolic sections then these have event symbolic meanings.
Every account in the bible, which:
[1] contains a ‘countable noun’, which is a noun acting as a noun (or a participle which declines as a noun which is used as a noun, such as a ‘baker’ – the one causing [things] to be baked – a Hiphil participle in Hebrew) which is repeated an even number of times (wherein all repeated words take the same meaning in the literal account or in the event symbolism), and which does not contain a double designation – see [Code6b] or which

[2] has a parallel account elsewhere in the bible,
has a further set of one, two, three or four (so far as we have found) word symbolic meanings.
The number of Word Symbolic meanings in a sub account is determined by the Successive Designations Principle below – see [Code6b]. These greater meanings are in addition to the literal meaning, in the case of a literal account, and are in addition to the straightforward symbolic meaning, the event symbolic meaning, in the case of a symbolic account such as a dream, a vision or a parable. They are in addition to the literal/event symbolic meaning of an interpretational sub account.
If a bible account contains an interpretational subaccount (typically an interpretation from Jesus, Daniel or Joseph), then the literal meaning of the interpretation is the event symbolic meaning of the symbolic subaccount which it is interpreting. Obviously since the narrative is also literal, its literal meaning sets the scene for the event symbolic meaning of all of its symbolic subaccounts.
The first word symbolic meaning of any interpretational subaccount is the first word symbolic meaning of the symbolic subaccount which it interprets. Furthermore the existence of a first word symbolic thread in an interpretational subaccount unites the first word symbolic meaning of the narrative to the first word symbolic meaning of the symbolic subaccount which the interpretation is explaining.
Likewise the second, third, fourth word symbolic meanings of any interpretational subaccount (if they exist) are the second third fourth word symbolic meanings of the symbolic subaccount which it interprets. Furthermore the existence of a second, third, fourth word symbolic thread in an interpretational subaccount unites the second, third, fourth word symbolic meaning of the narrative to the second, third, fourth word symbolic meaning of the symbolic subaccount which the interpretation is explaining.
Likewise the non existence of a first second third fourth word symbolic thread in an interpretational subaccount decouples the first second third fourth word symbolic meaning of the symbolic account which it interprets from the first second third fourth word symbolic meanings of the narrative respectively.
and so on…
See what I mean?
So, what are they up to?
Well, they tried setting more dates for the bombing of the UN. They’ve also started playing some number games with their predictions. You see, they don’t really want to admit to how many times they
got it wrong, so they’ve started combining failed attempts. They claim to have been wrong somewhere around 33 times. If you actually look at the list of their prophecies, it’s closer to one hundred.
They list over 100 different attempts at setting dates for various events according to their
bible-code system of prophecy which failed miserably. So why should we take them seriously? Here’s what they say on their homepage.
We do this because we are the only church with any kind of shot at it. We are the only church in the ball park in this discipline. We have made 33 totally or partially incorrect attempts at getting the date of the appearance of the 10 kings of Revelation 17 and we have made 31 totally incorrect attempts at the date of the first birth pang of the kingdom of God. But please do not be so naive as to condemn us for failing to do what no other church has even attempted. Do not judge us because we have so far failed to score in circumstances where no other church has had the guts even to walk on to the pitch!
Why should we allow our failure in chronology to hide the beauty of our basic church doctrine? This church does have the answers to nearly all the spiritual questions you may have (our experience has shown).
Yeah, see, we should respect them, and take them seriously, because they’ve been wrong so many times, and yet they still keep making predictions! That means that they must be on to something, right?
Anyway… They’re still at it. They still believe that their pile of general rules, and it’s ability to predict the future. They no longer pretend that they can set the date when the UN will be bombed – but they’re still sure that their interpretations of the hidden code are correct, and that it will be bombed soon. But they also haven’t given up on picking specific dates – they’ve just changed the event that they’re predicting. Instead of predicting when the UN will be bombed, they’re now
being even more ambitious, and predicting a specific date for the end of the world. According to them,
the world will now end on March 21, 2008, and Jesus will take over the rule of the earth from heaven
on the 23rd. And they don’t have just one proof of this: they have 20 of them! But they’re already
hedging it – they’re not proofs of the date, they’re flexi-proofs.

Bad Math: The True Bible Code Guys

Bad Math: The Bible Code Guys

Science – "The Lords Witnesses" believe that there is a secret code embedded in the bible that will predict terrorist attacks. Their code is a classic example of a human-created pattern. We're natural pattern-seekers and it's one of the innate skills of our brains. But like so many other things, it can go a bit overboard.

A little thing like complete and total failure will never keep a True Believer™ down. The fun folks that call themselves “The Lords’ Witnesses Bible Scholars” are back for more prophecy hijinks. You may recall that they were 85% sure a nuke would be set off at the U.N. Plaza in New York on May 25th. When that failed to occur they fudged things a bit and claimed it would be within a couple of days of May 25th and when it became clear that New York still hadn’t been nuked they fell back on the popular tactic of pushing the date back a month or so. Well that date is nearly upon us once more and so the good folks at TLWBS did what any good group of attention whoring Christian nutcases God-fearing people would do: They put out another press release that tries to paint themselves as less than completely crazy:
The reader might think that such an endeavour is the preserve of religious freaks or wacky bible fanatics. But the Bible Scholars point out that Sir Isaac Newton, who discovered half of Pure Mathematics (Calculus) and who invented the entire subject of Newtonian Dynamics and who discovered gravity and who 300 hundred years ago formulated the laws which enabled NASA to put a man on the moon in the last century, knew that the bible was written in a symbolic code. He spent much of his life trying to decode it and calculated that Armageddon would be in 1948 (it would have been difficult for him to verify that calculation and correct it accordingly as we can today!) Much of Newton’s scriptural work can be found in his book: Observations on the Prophecies of Daniel and the Apocalypse of St. John, published presently by The Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine. ISBN 0-942487-02-8. Not quite as popular as the Da Vinci Code, but much more logical!
Yes it is true that Sir Isaac Newton did believe there were hidden codes to be unlocked in the Bible that would reveal the future, but that only proves that very intelligent people can believe very silly things. Newton also was a big believer in alchemy and we all know how well that line of scientific inquiry worked out. The fact that someone who made such a huge contribution to science in one area also believed in Bible codes and alchemy doesn’t grant those topics any real legitimacy nor does it grant any legitimacy to anyone who follows in his footsteps. What matters is whether your predictions pan out in reality and, so far, the predictions of the TLWBS have not. Of course if they were to turn out to be correct there probably wouldn’t be anyone around to gloat about it for long as they seem to think the Earth is in for a very nasty fate:
Ironically, applying the true bible code to the account of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19, reveals that Armageddon occurs when mankind’s technology has abused the planet so badly that the planet finally hits back and erupts in a giant volcanic reaction to global warming and to nuclear warfare. This reaction covers the entire surface of the globe with molten lava, in much the same way as the flood of Noah covered it with water. This then is the end result of our manipulation of nature for what we misperceive to be our material benefit.
There are days, when confronted with idiotic press releases such as this one, when I wish the globe would suddenly be flooded with lava just to shut these people the hell up. Alas it’s not likely to happen soon enough to save us from even more press releases when they have to push the date back yet again instead of admitting they’re a bunch of fucking loonies. Oh, and they’ve updated their prediction once more: We are now 98% confident that the UN Plaza will be hit by a terrorist nuclear bomb between Thursday evening June 29th and Tuesday evening July 4th, 2006. 98% is an impressive statement of confidence to make when you’ve admitted to already being wrong three times before. It’s also a perfect example of the power of faith making one immune from reality.
Here’s my prediction: The Lords’ Witnesses Bible Scholars will be wrong, yet again, and nothing even close to a regular bomb, let alone a nuclear one, will go off at the U.N. Plaza by the deadline they’ve established. I further predict that this will in no way damage the TLWBS’s flawed belief in their own abilities to extract predictions from their “Bible code” and they will continue to run around claiming the sky is falling until something eventually happens that they can glom onto and claim as proof of their predictive powers no matter how much you have to stretch the event to make it fit their predictions. Most amazing of all is that I didn’t need to apply some cryptic and arcane mathematical formula to a 2,000 year old book to make this prediction. I merely applied what I know about the creeping credulity of unquestioning faith that invariably corrupts people’s ability to reason.

Gordon Ritchie Does the Bible Have a Hidden Code

Does the Bible Have a Hidden Code?
ABOUT two years after the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995, a journalist claimed that with the assistance of computer technology, he had discovered a prediction of that event hidden in the original Hebrew Bible text. The journalist, Michael Drosnin, wrote that he had tried to warn the prime minister over a year before the assassination but to no avail.
Other books and articles have now been published claiming that this hidden code provides absolute proof of God’s inspiration of the Bible. Does such a code exist? Should a hidden code be the basis for believing that the Bible is inspired of God?
A New Idea?
The idea of a hidden code in the Bible text is not new. It is a central concept in the Cabala, or traditional Jewish mysticism. According to Cabalistic teachers, the simple meaning of the Bible text is not its true meaning. They believe that God used the individual letters of the Hebrew Bible text as symbols, which when properly understood reveal a greater truth. In their view, each Hebrew letter and its position in the Bible text was set by God with a specific purpose in mind.
According to Jeffrey Satinover, a researcher of the Bible code, these Jewish mystics believe that the Hebrew letters used to record the creation account in Genesis hold incredible mystical power. He writes: "Genesis, in short, is not simply a description; it is the very instrument of the act of creation itself, a blueprint in the mind of God made manifest in physical form."
A 13th-century Cabalistic rabbi, Bachya ben Asher of Saragossa, Spain, wrote of certain hidden information that was revealed to him by reading every 42nd letter in a portion of Genesis. This method of skipping over letters according to a particular sequence in an attempt to discover hidden messages is the basis for the modern Bible-code concept.
Computers "Reveal" the Code
Before the computer age, man’s ability to examine the Bible text in this way was limited. In August 1994, however, the journal Statistical Science published an article in which Eliyahu Rips of Jerusalem’s Hebrew University and his fellow researchers made some startling claims. They explained that by removing all spaces between letters and using a sequence of equidistant jumps between letters in the Hebrew text of Genesis, they had discovered the names of 34 famous rabbis encoded in the text, along with other information, such as their dates of birth or death, in close proximity to their names. After repeated testing, the researchers published their conclusion that the information encoded in Genesis was statistically beyond the possibility of chance—proof of inspired information deliberately hidden in code form in Genesis thousands of years ago.
Building on this method, journalist Drosnin ran his own tests, searching for hidden information in the first five books of the Hebrew Bible. According to Drosnin, he found the name of Yitzhak Rabin embedded in the Bible text by a sequence of every 4,772 letters. With the Bible text arranged in lines of 4,772 letters each, he saw that Rabin’s name (read vertically) intersected with a line (Deuteronomy 4:42, running horizontally) that Drosnin translated as "assassin that will assassinate."
Deuteronomy 4:42 actually speaks of a manslayer who has killed unintentionally. Thus, many have criticized Drosnin’s arbitrary approach, claiming that his unscientific methods could be used to find similar messages in any text. But Drosnin stood his ground, issuing this challenge: "When my critics find a message about the assassination of a Prime Minister encrypted in [the novel] Moby Dick, I will believe them."
Proof of Inspiration?
Professor Brendan McKay, of the Department of Computer Science at the Australian National University, took up Drosnin’s challenge and made extensive computer searches through the English text of Moby Dick. Using the same method described by Drosnin, McKay claims to have found "predictions" of the assassinations of Indira Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, and others. According to McKay, he discovered that Moby Dick also "prophesied" the murder of Yitzhak Rabin.
Returning to the Hebrew text of Genesis, Professor McKay and associates have also challenged the experimental results of Rips and his associates. The charge was that the results have less to do with an inspired encoded message than with the researchers’ method and approach—the fitting of data largely done at the discretion of the researchers. Scholarly debate on this point continues.
Another issue arises when claims are made that such encrypted messages were deliberately hidden in the "standard" or "original" Hebrew text. Rips and his fellow researchers say that they made their search with the "standard, generally accepted text of Genesis." Drosnin writes: "All Bibles in the original Hebrew language that now exist are the same letter for letter." But is this the case? Rather than a "standard" text, various editions of the Hebrew Bible are used today, based on different ancient manuscripts. While the Bible message does not differ, the individual manuscripts are not identical letter for letter.
Many translations today are based on the Leningrad Codex—the oldest complete Hebrew Masoretic manuscript—copied about the year 1000 C.E. But Rips and Drosnin used a different text, namely the Koren. Shlomo Sternberg, an Orthodox rabbi and mathematician at Harvard University, explains that the Leningrad Codex "differs from the Koren edition used by Drosnin by 41 letters in Deuteronomy alone." The Dead Sea Scrolls include portions of the Bible text copied over 2,000 years ago. The spelling in these scrolls often differs considerably from later Masoretic texts. In some scrolls, certain letters were freely added to indicate vowel sounds, since vowel points had not yet been invented. In other scrolls, fewer letters were used. A comparison between all extant Biblical manuscripts shows that the meaning of the Bible text remains intact. Yet, it also clearly indicates that the spelling and number of letters vary from text to text.
The search for a supposed hidden message depends upon an absolutely unchanging text. One letter altered would completely distort the sequence—and the message if there was one. God has preserved his message through the Bible. But he has not preserved each letter intact, as if he were obsessed with such trivial matters as spelling changes over the course of centuries. Does this not indicate that he has not buried a hidden message in the Bible?—Isaiah 40:8; 1 Peter 1:24, 25.
Do We Need a Hidden Bible Code?
The apostle Paul very clearly wrote that "all Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) The clear and straightforward message in the Bible is not too difficult to understand or apply, but many people choose to ignore it. (Deuteronomy 30:11-14) The prophecies that are openly presented in the Bible give a solid basis for believing its inspiration. Unlike a hidden code, Bible prophecies are not arbitrary, and they do not ‘spring from any private interpretation.’—2 Peter 1:19-21.
The apostle Peter wrote that "it was not by following artfully contrived false stories that we acquainted you with the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 1:16) The concept of a Bible code has its roots in Jewish mysticism, utilizing "artfully contrived" methods that obscure and distort the plain meaning of the Bible’s inspired text. The Hebrew Scriptures themselves unequivocally condemned such a mystical approach.—Deuteronomy 13:1-5; 18:9-13.
How happy we are to have the Bible’s clear message and instruction, which can help us to know God! This is far better than trying to learn about our Creator by searching for hidden messages that are the products of private interpretation and computer-assisted imagination.—Matthew 7:24, 25.

[Footnotes]
In Hebrew, numeric values can also be represented by letters. Therefore, these dates were determined by letters in the Hebrew text rather than by numerals.
Hebrew is a language without vowel letters. Vowels are inserted by the reader according to context. If the context is ignored, a word’s meaning can be completely changed by inserting different vowel sounds. English has fixed vowel letters, making such a word search far more difficult and restrictive.

The True Bible Code The Lord's Witnesses

by Shaun Aisbitt
A chap I know was in the Way International. He is no longer in it, but he still holds to its beliefs. When he left, following a dispute with the leadership, on some interpretations of the Scriptures, I hoped he would begin to examine the Scriptures more closely, without the "blinkers" that this particular group appeared to have put on him. I was disappointed when he continued and still continues to believe the falsehoods he was taught by the Way International; even adding his particular interpretations to the Bible; and is now is trying to start his own church.
This is not a unique case, it happens all the time, you just have to look at the roughly 120 diverse groups that have come from the Mormon church, for instance Bickerites, Strangites, Temple Lot, Lamb of God and RLDS. The Jehovah's Witnesses also have this problem with groups like the Layman's Home Mission and The Dawn Bible Students.
Some months ago while scanning through the Internet for information on an article I wrote, showing the error of the Bible Code by Michael Drosnin, I came across a site entitled the bible decoded. At a quick glance, it looked like another Bible code site, but after further examination, I discovered "watchtower type" interpretations of scripture using the New World Translation Bible. I was intrigued, had Jehovah's Witnesses started going off on a tangent or is there something more here than meets the eye.
After studying the site from one end to another, which is no mean feat as it is well over 300 pages all bigger than A4 in size, I have come to the conclusion that I have found another break off from the Jehovah's Witnesses. They call themselves "The Lord's Witnesses," and hold public meetings every Tuesday at 7:30 at the Churchill Hotel, Portman Square, London W1 (usually in Boardroom 1) and have even recently started to distribute 10,000 730-paged books containing all their information.
The leader/prophet is a man called Gordon Ritchie who believes he has been sanctified to unseal the book of Daniel and believes he has been divinely inspired to reveal the world will end on 14 Nissan 2008 (21 March 2008). Their web site along with the new glossy covered book appears to be the vehicle they intend to use to attract prospective converts.
They make the bold claim that
You do not have to be a Lord's Witness to be saved by God, and you do not have to be a Lord's Witness to survive Armageddon. We claim we have decoded the bible, and that Jesus has personally appointed us to be the last true Christian religion before Armageddon, we may be wrong but we present evidence for this in this site.
This claim alone deserves the term 'cult' to be given to this group. They have special revelation that no one else has. Beyond this, the way the Bible has been decoded may not lead a Christian to lose their salvation, but in all probability, it will divert them from the centrality of Jesus. For the same reason, those seeking Christ and salvation through this group may never find Him.
The site and the book open with an attempt to establish the idea that the Trinity is false. They use Isaac Newton's disbelief in the Trinity to try to establish their point. This kind of false reasoning is called an argumentum ad verecundiam that is, the appeal to authority that uses admiration of a famous person to try to win support for an assertion.
For example, Albert Einstein was known for his genius in physics and mathematics. His assertions regarding space and time were something to take notice of, being an authority in that area. However, if he said, "Milky tea gives you green spots on your ankles," shouldn't we believe it? After all he is a genius. No we should not, because he was not a nutritionist or biochemist. Appealing to authority in an area they have no expertise does not validate whatever statements they have made. Isaac Newton was not a theologian or Biblical scholar by any means.
So what are the unique beliefs of the Lord's Witnesses? Well most are same as the Jehovah's Witnesses, but where they differ, I have expanded on the subject.
They believe that they have decoded the Bible and have been personally appointed by Jesus to be the last true Christian religion before Armageddon. The world will come to an end on 21 March 2008. Which is, I suppose, a good place to start.
Many groups have set dates and ended up with egg on their face. Is this just another group that says they alone can understand the Bible? They go on to say "Mankind has no useful understanding of the Bible". It would make anyone wonder why then they favour the New World Translation from the Jehovah's Witnesses. This translation that has been shown, by many Biblical scholars, to be more of a 'mistranslation'. However using this the Lord's Witnesses understanding of the Scriptures isn't the plain reading of what it says on the page, but a "symbolic understanding". Take for instance their symbolic understanding of the parable of the wicked slave (Luke 19 - Matthew 24)
Take up what you did not deposit = Remove the silver money of the Nethinim, the Watchtower bible decoders that Henschel was not given, that Jesus did not deposit with him. He was given a mina, that of Sardis, the remnant congregation.
Reap what you did not sow = Remove unsanctified Henschel.
Do business till I come = Jesus comes in 5th watch, both presences at the end of the legitimate business of FDS1 (Faithful and Discreet Slave which they believe have been replaced many times as they have become unfaithful) & FDS3 respectively.
Silver money = Spirit sanctified Christians, born again Christians.
Silver money which the wicked slave did not put in bank = Nethinim, the Watchtower Bible decoders. They are spirit sanctified from heaven, born again. They were not put to work to earn interest, not revealed to the congregation, and not officially accepted.
Interest = Great Crowd will be Sanctified: interest on the sanctified capital of the Nethinim.
Bank = Baptism accepted publicly, and offered publicly.
Take the mina from him and Give it to him that has 10 minas = Give the Remnant to Peter, in heaven, acting for Jesus, who will put them in the bank of the 6th watch, FDS4. Henschel stole this mina when or before FDS3 was disfellowshipped, not from FDS4 but from FDS1. So it should be returned to them.
Lord he has 10 minas = This is a repetition of the slave having ten minas. It therefore has a greater meaning than his congregation increasing 10x (using the Repetition Principle of the code). This meaning is that this slave, Peter, has authority over all of the 10 minas given to the 10 slaves in the first place, i.e. Peter has authority over FDS1 & FDS3 from heaven.
Authority over 5 cities = Russell has authority over 5 watches of FDS3 from heaven.
Enemies of mine that did not want me to become king = Those sanctified citizens of FDS3 who do not accept FDS4.
Slaughter them before me = The second death.
Those standing by = FDS4, 'standing by' means water baptised, ready to put the Mina of Henschel, the remnant, back into a saved state, by water baptising them, giving them back to Peter and Jesus.
The Trinity is false, same as Jehovah's Witnesses, no change here.
There was a pre-adamic race.
That is, there was a race, which evolved outside of the Garden of Eden. It is thought that animal-natured beings evolved to men. But Adam was a special creation by Jehovah. There were two races before the fall, edenic and exedenic. Edenic were vegetarians, exedenic were carnivores. Adam was not fully a man, just about one step below homo sapiens.
Jesus' body was inhabited by the archangel Michael, John the Baptist's body was inhabited by the angel Gabriel.
Jesus was a man, born of a virgin but was not divine until he had passed a test of remaining sinless for 33 years. At this point the Archangel Michael entered his body. On the web page Understanding 1, we come across one of the most strangest lines seen:
"In fact dare we say it, but the way that God made Eve, out of Adam, may well represent the way in which he made Michael, the first angel, out of himself."
Their exposition of Philippians 2:7 better explains their understanding of this doctrine:
He emptied himself, and took a slave's form, and came to be in the likeness of men (Philippians 2:7). NWT He emptied angel Michael and left him asleep in heaven, and entered Jesus, taking a slave's form, he took the form or body away from the non adamic human Jesus, who was a slave in this sense, at the baptism. There was an empty angel in heaven all through the ministry of Jesus, and there was a sleeping full angel containing the human Jesus' spirit after his baptism which was his death. This is technically how God overcame the death of the Jesus, and resurrected him as an angel. It is the same with all humans, we all have an empty angel throughout our judicial lives (after we have been born again), and a sleeping angel at our deaths.
In general they believe you have two souls. One is human, the other is a sleeping angel that is awoken when you are born again.
God may have self created himself in some way
God: The Creator, the Father & Jesus his created firstborn son God created the heavens and the earth. So he created time and space and all the angels and all the humans. His name, Jehovah, means: 'He who causes to become' or 'creator'. Since he created time, it is difficult to understand anything about the 'beginning' of God. There may not have been such a beginning in his case, or he may have self created in some way. He himself says in the book of Revelation
Further on, we are told that the seventh creative day, when God rested from His creative works, started when Adam sinned (3993 BC Nisan 14). The last thing that God created or made for the pair of them was clothes. Adam and Eve were not ashamed to be naked before they sinned, when the rest of homo sapiens had been wearing clothes for thousands of years, because they had not interacted with them until then. One must conclude that Adam and Eve had not experienced sexual desire as we know it before they sinned. They had not had sex before they sinned. We know that Cain was conceived after their sin, in fact it is possible to determine from the symbolic code of the Bible that they first had sex on the 42nd day counting inclusively after Adam sinned.
Blood transfusions are only permissible with one's own blood, the transfusion of another's blood is fornication.
Pretty strong wording from the group, possibly a throwback from their Watchtower days. It is a slight change, but still not enough to save your life if you are losing blood rapidly and you haven't stored the necessary amount.
Children under 20 cannot be sanctified:
Where do they get these ages and dates?
God's law is not for the unbaptised:
I'm having problems finding any justification for this in the Scriptures.
You cannot be baptised before you are 16: A good principal to baptise when a person is old enough
Other beliefs that are listed and indeed 'proved' in the thousands of words written include,
Jesus was created from God the same way as Eve was from Adam's side.
Pentecostals are brainwashed.
The Jehovah's Witnesses are now apostate.
God is married to the Holy Spirit who is female.
Jared and Methuselah were sons of God like Jesus.
The Lord has given us the Scriptures - "Your word is truth" we read and again that it is "a light to our path." But here we read,
"The bible is not a novel, it is a collection of short stories. Pitifully, as of this time, mankind has no useful understanding of the majority of these short stories, even in the literal meaning"
There is much, much more that can be said but I believe here is enough for us to realise that following this man's ideas and 'revelation' will only lead to darkness not to the light of the knowledge of God.

The True Bible Code False Predictions

Jim West calls our attention to some particularly funny stuff. The True Bible Code, that's the name of a group of "researchers," tell us that, "Bible Scholars Predict 85% Probability of a Nuclear Terrorist Attack on the UN Complex in Manhattan on June 9 or 10." Giving themselves a 15% probability of being wrong is a nice little touch. It's a 85% win - 15% win game for them. In other words, they can't lose. Their prediction is based on yet another "decoding" of the Bible.

And they support it with some of the most off the wall nonsense every committed to paper or DVD. As we are told, They have presented these results in a paper and in the form of two lectures on DVDs to 200 academic statisticians around the world. As yet none of them have been able to disprove their findings.

As Jim oh so correctly says, ". . . no 'bible scholar' would ever claim what is claimed by the report." What Jim doesn't say is that no competent statistician would waste his or her time evaluating such a claim. My guess is that none of the statisticians has tried "to disprove their findings." Despite a lot of word counts, the claim has no mathematical basis.

When I see something like this, I never know whether to laugh or cry. So I laugh.

Bible Scholars Predict an 85% Probability of a Nuclear Terrorist Attack on the UN Complex in Manhattan on June 9th or 10th

Bible Scholars From The Lords' Witnesses Predict An 85 Percent Probability Of A Nuclear Terrorist Attack On The U.N. Plaza

In Manhattan On June 9 Or 10

LONDON (EWORLDWIRE) Jun 1, 2006
These dates are deduced from the symbolic code of Jesus’ parables and Daniel’s visions and Joseph’s dream interpretations. A Bible research group called the Lords’ Witnesses puts forth that it has deciphered the true symbolic bible code which applies to both the Old and New Testaments. The group has found that all Bible accounts obey certain grammatical rules. In particular, the number of nouns which act as nouns in every Bible account is divisible by the number of meanings that the account has, and the number of distinct nouns acting as nouns or possessive noun chains (which
contain a noun acting as a noun and other nouns acting as possessive adjectives) in each account is likewise divisible by the number of meanings of that account. Every Bible account has encoded within it the number of extra symbolic meanings that the account has. Some Bible accounts have no extra symbolic meanings; others have as many as six extra symbolic meanings.

The two noun counting rules which they believe every Bible account obeys for the first 227 little Bible stories in the four Gospels of the New Testament have been verified and found to be true in each case. The results have been presented in a paper and in the form of two lectures on DVDs to 200 academic statisticians around the world - no one thus far has been able to disprove the group's findings. For more on this, see www.truebiblecode.com/understanding49.html.

Although the work of Lord's Witnesses is not a New York Times best-seller like the Hebrew Letter Skip code of Michael Drosnin, and it is not a commercially successful fiction like the Da Vinci Code of Dan Brown, it does reveal accurately how the last true Christian church should be run, which is what might one expect from a true Bible code. It also reveals that Armageddon begins on March 23, 2008 and ends August 20, 2008. It reveals that Jesus comes down to Earth to sort out

the sheep from the goats on 5 or 6 May, 2008 during Armageddon, at the end of the 1335 days of Daniel 12:12 and that the

faithful sheep are raptured to be angels on 6 or 7 June, 2008 - the post tribulation rapture. After that things get really

bad, and humans succeed in destroying themselves fully by August 20, 2008.
This destruction occurs because technology has overtaken morality. The purpose of Armageddon is to teach once and for all that if humans do not obey a simple set of moral laws, destruction will result - some people understand this without needing to see global genocide, but many more cannot. It is a lesson that most people do need. The sad Biblical truth is that the only way to teach the majority of free-willed rational beings that God’s commandments are simply the minimum set of laws necessary to prevent a society from destroying itself, is to give them those laws, permit them to break them and then let them destroy themselves. The sheep, the minority who do not need this lesson, are raptured in advance of the genocide and watch it all from God’s IMAX cinema in the sky as it were. For more on this see www.biblecodeintro.com.
The true Bible code reveals the true nature of Hell and the unceasing and everlasting love that God has for every person whom he ever created - the wicked and the good alike. It reveals that there will be seven terrorist nuclear bombs before Armageddon, which is the final man-made nuclear holocaust. The first of these bombs will hit the U.N. plaza in Manhattan between sundown on Friday, June 9 and sundown on Saturday, June 10, 2006. Bible Scholars have two independent scriptural interpretations which give the same date for this attack: the attack must occur on a Sabbath according to one of the interpretations, while the other interpretation also puts the event to occur on a Sabbath. The chances of this happening by accident are obviously one in seven. The chances of this not being an accident and therefore being a correct date at the least are six in seven, or 85 percent.

For a simple explanation starting from the basics and ending with a nuclear bomb in at the U.N. in midtown Manhattan during the second weekend in June, 2006, see www.truebiblecode.com/nyc.html.
The True Bible Code urges those in New York City of any religious or anti-religious persuasion whatsoever, who have faith that God can predict the future, to leave the city before the second weekend in June and read all about the group's great biblical understandings from some other place or at some time after that weekend.

True Bible Code Noun Counting

Last night we were looking at some Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses websites and we came a cross something called the true bible code which is about noun counting we believe this is a false doctrine. The true bible code website is run by a group of Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses calling themselves the Lord's Witnesses

What does the Bible say about the True Bible Code's noun counting

1 Timothy 6:4 he is puffed up [with pride], not understanding anything, but being mentally diseased over questionings and debates about words. From these things spring envy, strife, abusive speeches, wicked suspicions,

(2 Timothy 2:14) Keep reminding them of these things, charging them before God as witness, not to fight about words, a thing of no usefulness at all because it overturns those listening.

(Titus 1:10) For there are many unruly men, profitless talkers, and deceivers of the mind, especially those men who adhere to the circumcision.

(Titus 3:9) But shun foolish questionings and genealogies and strife and fights over the Law, for they are unprofitable and futile.

Ro 16:18  For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

1Co 1:17  For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

1Co 2:4  And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

1Co 2:13  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

1Co 14:9  So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

Eph 5:6  Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience

Thus this noun counting code is a false doctrine
